Who we are, and who we're not

Utah Healthcare Agency is a licensed insurance agency with an office in American Fork (1084 E State Rd Ste I, American Fork, UT 84003). We help individuals and families choose health insurance and enroll in it. We are not a hospital, a clinic, or a government office.

Looking for one of those instead? The federal Marketplace is at HealthCare.gov, and Utah Medicaid and CHIP are at medicaid.utah.gov. If you want health insurance and some help choosing it, see your plans or call us at 801-449-0889.

Coverage that works with the care you already get

The cheapest plan is no bargain if your doctor isn't in it. These are the checks we run with you before you enroll.

Your doctors and hospital

Utah's major hospital systems are not in every plan's network. We check that the doctors and hospital you use are covered.

Your prescriptions

Each plan has its own drug list and price tiers. We look up the medications you take so the pharmacy counter holds no surprises.

The type of network

Some plans cover only in-network care except emergencies; others pay something out of network. We explain which kind you're choosing.

How It Works

1

Enter your ZIP and household

Ages, household size, and an income estimate. It takes about a minute, and plans start showing as you type.

2

Compare real plans side by side

Premiums with your estimated tax credit already taken off, plus deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums for the plans in your county.

3

Apply online or with a local agent

Apply on your own through a secure, certified enrollment platform, or have a licensed Utah agent enroll you. The price is the same either way.

What Our Clients Say

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Utah Healthcare Agency part of the state or HealthCare.gov?+

No. We are a private, licensed insurance agency. We can enroll you in the same Marketplace plans sold on HealthCare.gov, at the same prices, and we help with Medicare, employer plans, and other coverage too.

How do I get healthcare coverage if I can't afford insurance?+

Start by checking your tax credit: it lowers Marketplace premiums for many Utah households, sometimes a lot. If your income is low enough, Utah Medicaid or CHIP may cover you for free or at low cost, and our quote page tells you when your income may qualify.

Can you help me find a plan my doctor accepts?+

Yes. Tell us your doctors, hospital, and prescriptions, and we check them against the plans available in your county before you enroll.

What does it cost to work with you?+

Nothing. Insurance carriers pay agents a commission that is built into every plan's price, so the premium is the same whether you enroll with us or on your own.

When can I get healthcare coverage?+

Marketplace plans are sold during Open Enrollment, which for 2027 coverage starts November 1, 2026, or within a Special Enrollment Period after a life event like losing coverage or moving. Medicaid and CHIP accept applications all year.
