Compare and Buy Coverage Yourself
Run your own quotes, on your own schedule, without talking to anyone. Every quote here is tied to our agency, so you still get a licensed Utah agent in your corner if you need one later — at no cost to you.
Start here: comprehensive coverage
If you need a health plan that covers you properly, start with one of these. The plans further down are useful, but they are add-ons and stopgaps — not a substitute for real medical coverage.
ACA Marketplace Plans
Comprehensive coverage that cannot turn you down for a pre-existing condition. Most Utah shoppers qualify for a subsidy that lowers the monthly cost — check here before buying anything else.

Dental, vision, and other coverage
Standalone plans from UnitedHealthOne, mostly for people under 65. These work alongside a medical plan — or on their own, if dental and vision are all you’re after.
Short-Term Medical
Temporary major-medical protection between jobs, while waiting on new coverage, or after missing Open Enrollment.

Dental
Standalone dental cover for cleanings, fillings, and major work — no medical plan required.
Vision
Eye exams, glasses, and contacts, on a plan that costs less than most people expect.
Accident
Cash benefits paid directly to you after a covered injury, to spend on whatever the bills actually are.
Hospital Indemnity
A fixed cash payment per day of a covered hospital stay, on top of whatever your main plan pays.
Before you buy a short-term plan
Short-term medical is not ACA-compliant coverage. These plans are medically underwritten, generally do not cover pre-existing conditions, may exclude benefits that Marketplace plans are required to include, and do not qualify for subsidies.
They are a good answer to a genuine gap — a few months between jobs, waiting on new coverage to begin. They are a poor substitute for a Marketplace plan, and if you qualify for a premium tax credit, a Marketplace plan is very often both better coverage and less money. It takes about ten minutes to check, and it costs nothing.
